Apparently it's some sort of petrol pump graveyard - where dozens of these things go when they are no longer new and shiny enough to adorn petrol stations.
One would hope that they get recycled into something useful, rather than just being left to rust in peace ;)

Ha! there you go, great minds think alike. I've got another one posting tomorrow too. It is a weird place. One of the guys working there allowed me to go in and take photo and then another more senior worker shoe-d me out angrily and wouldn't even hear why I was taking pictures.
